I think that a large part of it is that the west and south metro were built later than the north, which I think encouraged a little more affluent land usage.  It&#039;s also a little closer to Downtown Minneapolis than the east metro  I&#039;m sure someone has done some research on the history.

I didn&#039;t say that Brooklyn Park was anything like Eden Prairie, my comment was regarding what I think is a new &quot;up and coming&quot; neighborhood.  Eden Prairie is almost fully developed and market values there are already some of the highest in the area.

Brooklyn Park on the other hand still has quite a bit of development potential, and has significantly lower market values for comparable housing.  It doesn&#039;t have a large shopping destination at this time but is only 5 minutes from the Arbor Lakes development in Maple Grove.</description>
