Everyone seems to be talking about foreclosures, short sales, and the housing market in general.  REALTORS are looking to not only be part of the conversation, but also contribute to the solution.

While some have accused REALTORS of contributing to this mess, which I have to say we did have a role in, we certainly did not expect nor intend for things to go the way they have. The benefit of hindsight makes us all wish for a do-over, but the best thing we can do is help the market move forward from here.

I was at a city council meeting this evening discussing point of sale inspections (and foreclosures by extension) and a fellow REALTOR came up with an elegantly simple solution to an issue the city staff had presented to us in discussion.  It was through conversations between both agents and city staff that we together came to a new idea which will likely make the point of sale system work better for everyone.
