Does this program have anything in common with the I-35 bridge collapse? I noticed that the coupon website collapsed this morning .

Becker’s “double or triple the rebate” offer refers to instant savings (i.e. this fridge is priced $200 less than what it would normally cost) rather than an actual, “Here’s another $200 in your hand.”

So it’s a sale, like retailers offer all the time. A bit confusing, I know. I had to call them up to figure it out myself.

You can use the website listed in the article to apply for a rebate coupon for a new fridge purchase. The coupon is not yet available.

The amount of expected rebates is a bit higher — 25,400 — but for those who still don’t get one, there are many great incentive programs through Minnesota’s utility companies. Find them on http://www.dsireusa.org.
