I’ve been a part of the HomeServices of America family for almost 10 years now. While Edina Realty does hold several company-wide events each year, this only brings into the fold the few thousands of agents in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. While HomeServices has companies in 18 states and is the 2nd largest real estate brokerage in the country, there has not been a national convention to attend to meet new people, get new ideas, and to feel part of the bigger family.
Now that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is being birthed into the world and I’ve become part of an even much larger family, I think it is the absolutely perfect time to bring this family together for a national convention. The energy and engagement possible at such an event would be great for everyone and could help accelerate the coming together of these disparate and disconnected groups.
To bring all these agents together you need solid speakers and some entertainment to boot, right? I have the perfect solution:
Headlining: Buffett & Buffett!
What if Warren Buffett came out to speak and Jimmy Buffett provided the entertainment? I’d be there in a heartbeat. While Warren is not involved in the day to day activities of these real estate companies, he certainly is seen as the patriarch of the greater Berkshire Hathaway family and their bold move to purchase more real estate companies certainly shows their belief in the viability of the industry. Maybe Warren would break out the ukulele for a duet with Jimmy!
