Chaska, MN is southwest of Minneapolis and located along the Minnesota River. If such a thing as a “boom” town still exists, Chaska might be it. The city experienced impressive job growth during the last decade (2000 to 2010), at a rate of 43 percent over that span. Once a small farming community, the construction of Highway 212 opened up 1000′s of acres of farmland for new development and made commutes to Minneapolis far faster.
