Roseville Homes, Townhomes and Condos for Sale

Bordering Minneapolis to the west and St. Paul to the south — it’s one of only two suburbs to do so — it’s tough to argue with the fact that Roseville, MN is ideally situated for commuters to both of those cities.

If the location doesn’t impress you, the low property taxes might. As recently as 2008, Roseville’s property taxes were among the lowest in the state, thanks in large part to the city’s extensive commercial base, according to the state of the city address that year.

Roseville’s biggest claim to fame, however, may be its status as the unofficial bandy capital of the state. Bandy is a sport that’s sort of a hybrid of lacrosse and football, played on an ice surface roughly the size and shape of a football field, and Roseville has hosted its world championships for both men (1995) and women (2006). Those championships were played at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota Oval — purported to be the largest artificial outdoor skating surface in North America — which has also hosted a number of speedskating national championships and other national events.

The first Target store was built in Roseville in 1962, and the city is also home to the headquarters of both Old Dutch Foods and the Minnesota Department of Education.

In 2008, the median income for a household in the city was $51,617, and the median income for a family was $81,300.
