Minneapolis/St. Paul Days on Market

In September 2007, the average Cumulative Days on Market (CDOM, which includes properties listed several times but not sold) stood at 141 days.  This is an increase of 25.8% over last year.

The Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) has started publishing CDOM in just the last few months.  Prior to that, the association provided figures based on Days on Market (DOM), which wasn’t an accurate picture because it did not take into account expired listings or cancelled listings.  Many agents/sellers will let their property expire or cancel the MLS contract early simply so that it looks “new” to buyers online.
